Payments can be made through Zelle, PayPal, or HoneyBook (please note you will incur a 3% processing fee if you use HoneyBook).
If your application is accepted, you will be sent our Content Retreat Contract and Invoice via Honeybook. Once this has been signed, you can send your deposit! If you choose to pay via Zelle or PayPal, you can reference the Honeybook Invoice for your correct payment amounts and your payments will be marked manually paid on your Honeybook Invoice upon receiving them in Zelle or PayPal.
Your spot is not reserved until both the contract has been signed and the deposit has been received.
In order to reserve your spot, please fill out the application at the bottom of the page. We have an application process to make sure you’re a great fit for this retreat and also to get to know you better! Once your application has been accepted, you will receive an email with the contract + invoice. You will have 24 hours to pay your deposit and reserve your spot before your spot will be available again to other applicants!
This is a retreat for photographers of all levels, though we recommend being comfortable with posing and directing as well being very knowledgeable with your camera. This is a content retreat (think ‘content day’, but leveled up), meaning there will be no direct education classes, with the purpose of providing an incredible international experience and plenty of unrivaled content. If you want to book more international work, this is the first step in getting your foot in the door! I will be an open book throughout the retreat, so although there are no actual education classes you are welcome to pick my brain at any time and we can certainly have chats during our downtime.
Packing List
- A TON of memory cards – We’ve got over 10+ hours of shooting, you’re going to need a lot!
- Multiple Cameras – There will be a few tight spaces, but most of our locations will be vast and open landscapes. You’re going to want a variety of lenses and multiple cameras so you don’t have to keep switching
- Several Lens Options – As stated above, you’re going to want lenses to cover all bases. Personally, we recommend bringing a 35mm, 24-70mm, and 70-200mm so you don’t overpack but have a wide range.
- Your Laptop – To edit during your downtime. Do you really want to wait until you get home to work on these? No way!
- External Hard Drive – You’re going to want to back these up right away for peace of mind, especially if you don’t have a huge arsenal of available memory cards.
- A Variety of Clothing – Make sure you’re prepared for all types of weather, because you never know!
- Camera Cover – It might rain! Better to be prepared, just in case.
- Batteries and a charger – Just a reminder, because that would not be good.
- Cash – Not all businesses will take cards. You’ll not only want to bring cash in case of an emergency, but also in case you stop somewhere without card payment capabilities.
Application
You will receive an invoice with payment details via Honeybook once your application has been submitted, so please make sure your email is entered correctly! The invoice will include your package specifics and pricing. If you choose to pay via Honeybook/the invoice, a 3% fee will be added. You can also pay via Zelle or PayPal, and we will mark your payments paid manually in Honeybook Proposal – you will see the amount you need to pay for the deposit on the Honeybook Invoice.
Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to make the shoot, you are welcome to sell your ticket.
