As event industry professionals, we oftentimes attend events or styled shoots then leave feeling like we were barely able to exchange conversation. You are left craving more. Our years become busy quickly and we forget to indulge in those moments we curate for clients. As a creative studio, we have learned that the more time we carve out for creativity, the better we can serve our clients with dynamic designs, to-the-T timelines, and a breath of fresh air approach in producing events. We are launching these retreats to not only commit to this lifestyle, but to bring you along with us!

Upscale Designs
Design is our passion + we are committed to showcasing layered + textured fashion-forward designs mixed in a variety of ways throughout our retreats. From lifestyle experiential-based shoots to detailed tablescapes, we can promise to bring you fresh + elevated designs every single time.

Immersive Excursions
Dive into the rich tapestry of local culture - featuring artisans, cuisine, and traditions unique to each destination. From hands-on cooking classes + workshops to savoring regional flavors, every detail is thoughtfully curated to celebrate the heart of the community.

Innovative Education
Discover transformative insights with our creative education masterclass, offering expert-led sessions tailored to the unique interests + goals of each group. From imaginative storytelling to practical strategies, you’ll leave feeling ready to level up.

Intimate Groups
Photographers are thoughtfully divided into small groups (6 per group max), rotating through styled setups in equally timed segments. We will assign these groups prior to the retreat in your attendee booklet so you know who you’ll be shooting closely to.

Unique Venues
We have scouted a wide variety of venues, only choosing locations that feel authentic to the storylines. From a stately mansion on the Great Lakes to a quintessential Nantucket resort we are so excited to create beauty from coast to coast.

FAQs

We have hosted retreats internationally in Italy, Scotland, and Mexico. Although we will be offering international again (looking at you, 2026!!), we are focusing on amazing locations in our country this year! Something we LOVE about these retreats is the connection it not only creates amongst attendees but to the local spaces we host in. Very excited to offer local excursions like cooking + cocktail classes, brewery + farm tours, and fly fishing to name a few!
Our content retreats are designed to fully embrace a full local experience while capturing portfolio-broadening content. Although education has been built into these retreats, it has been curated for seasoned photographers and we suggest you are experienced in the industry with 3+ years at a minimum.
Once the retreat begins, we will take care of every detail for you (meals, excursions, travel to shoots, etc). However, it is your responsibility to arrange travel to and from the retreat location. We will be sending out a welcome brochure once booked with recs on where to fly, how to get to the location, and any other necessary information!
With the dynamics of these retreats, we are limiting spots to attendees only.
For full privacy and comfort, every attendee will receive their own room! *Exception Greenville Location
Absolutely! The education masterclass will be different for each retreat, so nothing is repeated.
All retreats have a max capacity of 24, split up into four groups of six. We will time each shoot to ensure that this is fair for all.
We will go ahead and add you to a private Instagram group and also equip you with a detailed welcome brochure beforehand with bios on all attendees! We will ensure you have all necessary details including a packing list, airport/shuttle recs, and shoot/design decks.

Tickets are nonrefundable, however, they are transferrable.
Designs are created, curated + produced by Honey + Thyme in collaboration with talented florists, local vendors, rental companies, etc. We believe our design style feels authentic + timeless yet stylish + fun. We can promise our designs will highlight moments that feel extremely fresh, layered + luxe!
