THE RADICES
THE RADICES
A three-day Carolina weekend at the charming Morning Glory Farm for Charlotte and Kyle. We were honored to be the first wedding weekend in their new Garden Room greenhouse addition and the results were beautiful. From Fridayβs Italian-inspired rehearsal dinner to Saturdayβs classic charm wedding day to Sundayβs citrus and blueberry-infused brunch, the entire weekend felt so surreal.

How did you two meet? Hinge- a dating app success story, haha!
What excites you two most about marriage? Everything! Building a life, growing our family, traveling the world- this is just the beginning.
What was the inspiration for the design of your wedding? With our reception space being a greenhouse, we were inspired by all things botanical and English-garden with a vintage and timeless feel. Classic, intimate and romantic were words I kept reiterating.
What was one component that was important to both of you to have at your wedding day? In general, we really wanted our day to infused by our love and relationship. We wanted it to feel like 'us'. From simple decision choices to specific personal elements, we wanted everything to have our complete touch and feel. Looking back, our love really shined through the entire weekend and you can feel it in the photos too!
What were some of your favorite moments from your wedding day? Some favorite moments were our first look, reading our personal vows at the ceremony, cocktail hour and our private last dance. Basically, the times we specifically carved out to share with one another! Reminder to stick by each other's time and set aside moments within the timeline for 1:1 check-ins.
What was the best wedding investment you made? Planner, venue and photographer! The venue creates the entire setting and baseline impression of the day, the photography captures the memories you'll have forever and the planner completely removes the logistical stress from the day. All three were incredible and 110% worth it!
What advice would you give to couples who are in the process of wedding planning? Enjoy every minute and come back to your 'why' often! It's really easy to get overwhelmed and the process often comes with a lot of emotional stress. Focus on quality time, establishing boundaries and creating goals for the next chapter.

Photography + Videography Our photographer, Georgia, truly nailed the vision! She has an amazing eye, is confident in her abilities and brings a calm energy. I wanted a mix of documentary and editorial photos, with a romantic, timeless feel, and that's exactly what she delivered!
Signage + Stationery Stationery is not dead! I was so obsessed with how ours turned out. My dad was a lithographer, so print materials and signage has always been something I admired. Our invites were incredibly beautiful and such a representation of our weekend and vibe. Our day of stationery and signage took months to curate, sourcing inspo photos and making tons of edits. My grammy embroidered custom linens for all our guests. Signage was very romantic and botanical inspired. Our menus were more vintage-inspired, with a deco shape and tassel. As the chef of our household, Kyle has me tell him what's "on the menu tonight" before we sit down for dinner. We added that as our menu header for a sweet, personal touch!
Florals Her eye for design in addition to her floral arrangements. Jenna from Seeded did more than craft our florals- she truly brought to life our design! She is creative, out of the box, resourceful and has an impeccable eye!
Food + Bev We served plated-style. Our menu consisted of a pear and arugula salad, sun-dried tomato chicken with rice and veggies entree and lemon bars for dessert. We had a small guest count so we decided to keep our menu simple and preferred the elevated-feel of plated. For beverages, our signature drinks were a Hugo Spritz, Bees in the Garden cocktail and Lavender Lemonade mocktail. Keeping with the botanical, garden theme!
Cake Clean, natural, all cream one tier round cake with lemon and vanilla!
Fashion + Beauty When I started dress shopping I was so nervous. Again, so much pressure and overwhelm to find 'the one'! When I described my dream dress, it was something classic with a unique twist- whether that be structural or embellishing. It was the first dress I tried on and I instantly knew nothing would compare. I continued to try others but it was clear to me very early on which was unexpected because I'm typically more indecisive. In my option, it's way too exhausting to try 100s of dresses. Don't overthink it and don't look at options after! For hair and makeup, I wanted to feel like myself and continue the timeless, classic look. I went with a clean middle part low bun and natural, elevated makeup.
Entertainment Originally band but ended up with DJ. We were very involved in the curation of our setlist. It was important to us that not only did our guests like the music, but so did we. This is an area I would recommend being involved in!
Rentals We sourced rentals from our planner, Stradley Davidson linens and Curated Events. We also thrifted a lot as well! I think the combination of all our decor and rentals nailed our design vision. Together it all felt very romantic and personalized.
Officiant It was Kyle's uncle! He's officiated weddings before and is an ol' fashion Savannah gentleman. We wanted it to be someone that knew us personally so it was a clear choice for us to have him take on the role!
Are there any other vendors you would like to mention? Our content creator: Dreamy Content. A last minute edition, but one I am so grateful I did. There is something so raw and unproduced about the simple iPhone footage. Plus we loved having all the content right away while waiting for photos to come in.
