As destination wedding planners we have had the privilege of creating unforgettable weddings in some of the most beautiful destinations around the world. One location that always stands out for a dreamy summer wedding is Lake Como in Italy. When it comes to luxury European weddings, Lake Como is a destination that is simply unparalleled. The stunning views, charming villages, and elegant villas create the perfect backdrop for a dream wedding. Last summer, we ventured to Italy to produce an intimate wedding day at Villa Cipressi and it was an absolute honor and privilege.

Our bride and industry friend, Erica Serrano, along with her fiancé, Payton Ball, had graciously extended full creative freedom to our team. We were able to pull from inspiration all around Lake Como and the outcome is a summer day none of us will ever forget. The color palette for this day leaned into an old world charm-inspired hues including, merlot, mauve, caramel, honey, green with accents of silver and true black.

The ceremony took place on Villa Cipressi’s lakeside patio, overlooking the crystal Lake Como waters. Erica and Payton exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. Erica looked absolutely breathtaking in a couture gown by renowned designer, Rita while the groom looked dashing in a custom-tailored suit. The ceremony design incorporated local farm blooms and fruits weaved into an organic ground arrangement.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and an alfresco dinner overlooking the sunset, with a coursed menu filled with delicious local specialties. The tables were adorned with more local blooms, flickering candlelight, and custom embossed menus complete with handwrtten notes to each guest. We wanted a classic and timeless wedding design with modern romance touches mixed in.

The evening continued with a lively reception, complete with a vibrant local DJ. The newlyweds danced the night away under the stars, creating memories that they will cherish forever.

From start to finish, this Italian wedding was a surreal experience, that we all wanted to bottle up. Every detail was carefully planned and executed to perfection, creating a day that was as special and unique as the couple themselves .With its stunning scenery, romantic ambiance, and rich cultural heritage, Lake Como is the perfect setting for a dreamy and elegant wedding celebration.
