How We Met

At a work Christmas party! I was my BFF’s ”plus 2″ (with her plus 1 boyfriend), who insisted that I needed to meet this funny and cute guy who she worked with. We instantly hit it off and shortly become inseparable! I was living in Greenville, SC at the time but we made a point of seeing each other every weekend for the first three months until my work brought me back to Charlotte.

(Florals) Seeded Events & Design – I cried when I first saw my flowers. I truly didn’t know flowers could be that vibrant. They were everything I had wanted and so much more, it’s like Jenna could see into my mind and created the most ideal flower arrangement from it. I have never seen flower arrangements that unique before and I’m still blow away by it!

What Excites us about Marriage

Just the fact that we get to keep doing fun stuff for the rest of our lives! So many adventures and trips and laughs to look forward to. We are excited about being committed and having the security of knowing we’ll always be there for each other.

Inspiration Behind the Design

I didn’t have one! I knew I wanted colorful and whimsical and FUN, then Honey & Thyme absolutely blew me away with their vision.

(Signage) Honey and Thyme stepped it UP for the bar menu and seating chart! The colors were so perfect

Favorite Moment of our Wedding Day

There are honestly too many to name! Getting ready with our friends, walking down the aisle to my husband, the petal toss after being married! Being greeted with amazing cocktails right after being married, the beautiful colors of the flowers, our first dance outside before the reception started, the AMAZING dancing, changing into my pink sparkly second look and the grand exit! My most memorable moment of the day was having our private last dance and my new husband whispering “I wish this moment could last forever”

(Photography) Erica Serrano- I loved everything about my photographer . She is the absolute hype queen and made me feel like the most gorgeous model day of. She truly captured every moment and even remembered some shots I had said I wanted to get but then forgot about!

(Officiant) Vanessa, The Adventure Officiant – truly made our day so special! After speaking with her on the phone, I knew she was the one. Our friends asked if she was our friend prior to this because her words were so personable and so special to us.

One Concept that was Important to the Wedding Day

FUN! I wanted our friends/family to feel comfortable and welcome and wanted the vibes to be HIGH! A little disco, a lot of dancing and some good food to keep the good times rolling. I also wanted a LOT of flowers, I love flowers and boy they did not disappoint.

(Food + Bev) Sage + Spice Catering – The food was delicious! Good blend of upscale tacos, everyone was happy!

Best Wedding Investment We Made

Honey and Thyme!!! I would invest again and again and again if I could. Followed by flowers (shout out Seeded Events and Design!!!) and of course my AMAZING photographer Erica Serrano. We truly had the dream team and it made everything day of run SO smoothly and enjoyable

(DJ) Ryan from Barkz Beats brought the house down!!!! There was never an empty dance floor and he brought hits after hits! He even let me DJ for a hot minute which was absolutely on my bucket list

(Beauty) Lovely Bride + Lovely by Lindsey – I knew from the moment I saw my sparkly, lace, floral dress at Lovely Bride that is was the one for me. Everything about it was everything I had wanted in a dress. We got Nadeem’s suit custom made and he got to pick every last detail! We even have our wedding date on the inside of the jacket which makes it so special. Hair and makeup really came through day of and made me look like a freakin super model! Would wear my big sparkly dress and a face full of makeup every day if I could

Our Advice

Don’t stress! Caitlin and Mikayla have got you covered! And the day of my wedding I really wasn’t stressed about the small details like if I had the perfect earrings, perfect shoes, if the food was just right or if my hair was frizzy. Just soak in all the love and excitement and try to enjoy yourself!!
