Our love for travel and local culture runs deep – creating a passion for destination celebrations. We were thrilled when boss babe photographer, Andrea Godfrey, invited us to join her in planning a Scotland Content Retreat, venturing to the Isle of Skye with a group of photographers and talented vendors. Combining our love of design and travel set our souls on fire and we’re so excited to announce this won’t be ending anytime soon!

Senior Planner, Mikayla, has been eager since inception with H+T to expand our international offerings to couples and photographers alike. We are thrilled to share that because of her our content retreat was an absolute success. Three days, six shoots (with a few bonus shoots!!), eight couples, and a whoooooole lot of new connections and content.

If you’re a couple looking for an experience of a lifetime or a content creator interested in expanding your portfolio, we’re excited to share that we’re launching TWO International Content Retreats in 2023 with real couples tying the knot in both Mexico and Italy – who’s ready!?!

A Real Elopement

Most content retreats use the talents of model couples, however, we loved the idea of infusing some real life juicy love into the retreat. When we met Chelsea + Sanchez in our studio they shared that the venue search wasn’t going the way they expected it to. We then proceeded to tell them about our Scotland Content Retreat plans and then it clicked…why don’t they join us!? A preset elopement design, a dozen+ photographers capturing every second and a destination dream – they immediately said YES and dove in with complete trust.

Culture, Community + Content

Why venture to foreign lands with us!? Our goal is to truly create an all-inclusive experience while embracing the local culture, embedding that into the content we create. Each location is a little different in design and aesthetic but overall we want to capture a timeless and breathtaking elopement scene.

Carolina florist, Meraki Blommor, worked hand-in-hand with Scotland locals to source and forage for flora. Dress designer, Meagan Kelly, trekked her NEW custom “Jet Setter” line created for the shoot to Scotland herself. We also pulled in fun pieces from Andrea Godfrey’s dress rental branch, Bonehaus. Isle of Skye local makeup artist, Alanna McNiven, showcased looks that highlighted everyone’s natural beauty. The House of Juniper hosted us with open arms, complete with an on-site bar, breakfast room-service and the cutest on-site cabins in addition to the restored Manse. We will continue working with dynamic vendors to bring the best of the best!

2023 Content Retreats

We are SO thrilled to announce we’re heading to Mexico and Italy next year! If you’re interested in eloping to either location, please reach out here to get a conversation started. Tickets for content creators will launch on September 1st, 2022 and spots are limited.
